Body language
Fussing with your hair or your tie makes you appear stressed and nervous. Keep your hands free and relaxed, this shows openness and open-mindedness. By the way, a firm handshake is always the fastest way to begin building a relationship.
Cell phones
Don’t place your cell phone on the table. You’ll automatically look at it when it rings – even if you don’t intend to – and then you’ll lose track of what’s really important.
No hurry
Take your time before answering questions. If you need a moment to think, take it. A moment of silence is no problem at all, as long as you don’t lose your focus.
What to wear
Match what you wear to the style worn at the company. If you are not sure, be a touch more stylish, because if you don’t feel well dressed, you’ll feel uncomfortable and ill at ease – and that’s never a good thing at an interview.
Show interest
